BTS’s new album has soared to the top of the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA)’s Albums Chart!
After making history last year by becoming the first artist to hit No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with an Asian-language release, BTS has done it again. On February 29 local time, the ARIA officially announced that BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7” had debuted at No. 1 on its latest weekly chart (dated February 24), making it the group’s second album to achieve the feat after “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
“Map of the Soul: 7” also marks BTS’s fifth release to make it into the top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart, an accomplishment that the ARIA celebrated with a highlight clip detailing the group’s chart performance history.
Meanwhile, BTS’s new title track “ON” entered the ARIA Singles Chart at No. 29 this week.
Congratulations to BTS on another impressive achievement!
Now I'm only waiting for update from Oricon. If BTS top Japanese chart, they will simultaneously occupy #1 in ten biggest music markets (excluding China and Brazil as those countries don't have any official weekly chart). This is the level we're talking about. They're really creating history of music.
