BIGBANG’s 2012 song ‘Ego’suddenly trended #1 on Melon charts surprising even the most devoted VIP.

Fans were left shocked and surprised at the sudden trend. Pointing out that the song was released 8 years ago, BIGBANG’s extended hiatus and current scandals the group has been facing.

‘Ego’ was released in 2012 as a track on BIGBANG’s special release of their ‘Alive’ album.

BIGBANG is set to have their first comeback since their 3 year hiatus in April 2020 at Coachella.

It's because of BTS's Ego obviously. It happens when a new song with the same title is released, older songs trend as well because of the correlation. As the article says, VIPs are surprised so there was no mass streaming or some kind of promo.
