South Korea's biggest music streaming platform, Melon, has released through their magazine the 7 Best Kpop Songs of 2019.
1. ITZY - Dalla Dalla
"We can't remember any debut song in recent years that showed so much power and energy as Dalla Dalla."
2. TXT - Crown
"Crown is special in that it clearly shows what kind of group Tomorrow X Together is... youthful and full of extraordinary coolness."
3. Chungha - Gotta Go
"It gives that 'used but refined' feel. Chungha made the whole song a special banger."
4. AOA - Sorry
"Sometimes a song reveals how far an artist has been restrained without exercising his or her full ability. Sorry suggests that AOA will walk a path of trees rather than flowers. It is a declaration."
5. (G)I-DLE - LION
"Independence is the most powerful arsenal of women and (G)I-DLE knows how to make it attractive. LION, in a sense, is a track that seems to be the natural consequence of a group following this path."
6. TWICE - Feel Special
"TWICE took a big step. Feel Special was not made in the form of their usual bubble pop sound nor was it in a form of ballad that seems more suitable to unravel what the song wants to convey and this actually added strength to their message. Imagine how many people were empowered by listening to this song."
7. LOONA - Butterfly
"Butterfly has this futuristic elegance and a message of flying without regard to boundaries. This song is a result of the group's craving for progression."
Lion was released like month ago. I feel like they've just put random songs together. Dalla dalla or gotta go were huge among GP and why there are no boy groups?
