Park Yoochun (33) has been ordered to pay 100 million won (~$84,000) in damages.
In December 2016, a woman 'S' accused Park Yoochun of sexually assaulting her and last december she filed a lawsuit against Yoochun for damages. S also requested a seizure of Yoochun's officetel located in the Samseong-dong neighborhood.
Because Yoochun never presented a formal written opinion in the 3 months after she filed the request, the court had no choice but to file the case without Yoochun's plea. Park Yoochun's side belatedly sent in the power of attorney and asked to cancel the sentencing date and as a result the court ordered mandatory arbitration to settle the case.
The court held the mandatory mediation hearing on the 15th and ordered Yoochun to compensate 'S' 100 million won in damages. If neither party files a motion to appeal within 2 weeks, the court's judgment will be considered a final ruling.
Park Yoochun is also currently in probation after being sentenced to 10-month suspended prison sentence with 2 years probation for drug purchase and abuse. If he violates his probation at any time within that 2 year period he'll be fined 1.4 million won and will need to serve the 10-month sentence behind bars.

Isn't this case a mandatory mediation court decision. That means there are no winner at the end.It is to close the case by the mediation stalemate instead of dragging on and on with no end in side for both of them. Park Yuchun is still so popular with dispatch to write this misleading article again.
