Song Joong-ki's dad reportedly sent out a text message to acquaintances to address his son's divorce.

According to a report by Bridge Economy on the 6th, Song Yong Gak reportedly sent out a text message to acquaintances apologizing for the divorce and said, "I apologize for bringing such bad news suddenly. I believe that everything stems from me and Joong Ki being lacking, and we will conclude everything with sincerity. Please watch over us and send us your encouraging guidance. I hope you have a healthy and happy day.”

In a conversation with Bridge Economy on the 6th, Song Yong Gak also addressed prior media reports that he had shut out the media and was not answering phone calls stating, "I've been hospitalized because of cataract surgery so it was difficult to talk."

Song Joongki's dad has been a huge supporter of the couple. He opened the "Song Joong-ki museum" in the actor's hometown and decorated it with the couple's pictures.

Song Yong Gak also showed love for his daughter-in-law by sending a text message to his friends last November asking them to check out Song Hye-Kyo's comeback tvN drama "Boyfriend."
