Singer-songwriter Sobae (소베) released new single “Good Luck” on June 18th at 12PM KST which showcases Sobae’s signature famous silky vocals along with in depth lyrics about letting go of a person, and wishing “good luck” to them. The song is poised as a vibrant summer dance hit to be warmly welcomed at beach parties and barbecues.
Sobae co-wrote the track with beatmaker Rise, who has previously produced tracks for artists including rapper Junoflo. The witty lyrics that accompany the punchy melody freely weave in and out of English and Korean, much like those of other Korean-American artists (such as DPR Live and Jay Park).
Despite an unconventional path leading to her debut as a musical artist a year and a half ago, Sobae has already released four singles featuring prominent artists including Exy of Cosmic Girls, and has toured 20 U.S. cities with San E and Mad Clown, two of the biggest names in South Korea’s hip hop scene.
Sobae is based in Seoul and is a recurring guest host on shows with a broad international fanbase including Arirang and TBS. She has also been invited to be an MC and host for KCON 2019 in both New York and LA, and is poised to expand her career as a multifaceted entertainer.
Sobae has also invited all of her fans and friends to feature in the music video for her new track by sending in a video lipsyncing, dancing, or singing to the song. So if you want to be part of the video, don't forget to send the video by July 9th to mgmt@heysobae.com!
