Oricon Chart recently released updated data for best selling albums by Korean acts so far in 2019. As of June 9, here are the top 5 albums released by Korean artists that made an impact in Japan this year:
1. BTS Map of the Soul: Persona - 321K
2. TWICE's #TWICE2 - 297K
3. SEVENTEEN's You Made My Dawn - 161K
4. TWICE's Fancy You - 106K
5. NCT127's Awaken - 55K
BTS will be releasing their upcoming Japanese album "Lights" days before TWICE's back-to-back Japanese comeback albums "Happy Happy" and "Breakthrough" in July. The said albums are highly anticipated by Kpop fans and are expected to do well in charts.
