According to news reports on May 2, investigators from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Office have allegedly found evidence to confirm that individuals linked with Japanese investor 'A' did solicit prostitution during their visit to Korea back in 2015.
One rep from the Seoul police told media outlets, "We have confirmed that some party members of Japanese businessman 'A' solicited prostitutes in 2015 during their visit. We have confirmed that 'A' flew into Korea with his/her spouse at the same time, but we have not discovered any criminal charges specifically against 'A' so far."
Currently, police are investigating the possibility of individuals soliciting illegal prostitution after seeing Seungri and his former business parner Yoo In Suk converse about Japanese investor 'A' in a Kakao Talk chat room. Yoo In Suk is said to have admitted to hiring prostitutes during an earlier questioning, while Seungri continues to deny any involvement in the illegal solicitation of prostitution.
Meanwhile, Seungri has also been summoned for police questioning yet again on May 2, beginning at approximately 10 AM KST. On this day, police intend to investigation Seungri's involvement in embezzling funds from club 'Burning Sun', as well as potential issues in his YG Entertainment business card, which was used to purchase hotel lodging for Japanese investor 'A' back in 2015.
This is probably an unpopular opinion but, Seungri looks more and more innocent to me as each new article gets published. The police are coming across extremely negligent, and that combined with a lot of misinformation reported by the media is making this whole ordeal look more like the witch-hunt of an innocent man, as opposed to the investigation of a criminal.
ALSO, have their been any sightings of Seungri since this all blew up? I haven’t seen any pap shots of him since March.
