Roy Kim has graduated cum laude from Georgetown University.

According to media sources, the singer-songwriter not only graduated cum laude, but managed to receive scholarships every semester he attended the school.

Roy Kim is among the members of Jung Joon Young's controversial KakaoTalk group chatroom that was being investigated by the police after it was revealed to have hosted the distribution of elicit hidden camera footage of women. The singer had been studying at the university when the news of his involvement in the case broke out and returned to South Korea back on April 9 under police orders. He received four hours of questioning the next day. His case has since been handed over to prosecution.

Due to this, whether or not Roy Kim would be graduating from the university was up in the air; however, he was eventually permitted to graduate and receive his degree despite not being able to attend the ceremony in person.

Meanwhile, Roy Kim began attending Georgetown University in 2012, where he initially majored in Business before moving to the school's Sociology program.
