Jo Byung Gyu revealed his bank balance on the May 17 airing of MBC's 'I Live Alone.'
The actor, who has been living alone for 5 years, looked up hamburger restaurants in the early morning. He asked himself, "How much do I have?" and decided to order coffee and hash browns.
Jo Byung Gyu then checked his bank balance again, which showed a balance of just 6,447 KRW (5 USD). The 'I Live Alone' members reacted very surprisedly to the low balance.
Jo Byung Gyu explained, "I get an allowance from my parents. It's actually not an allowance because my parents just give me the money I earned. They call it an allowance but it's actually my own money." He revealed, "I can't take care of my money so I receive an allowance of 150,000 KRW (125 USD) every Tuesday."
Park Na Rae asked, "Isn't that too little?" Jo Byung Gyu replied, "So I tried to eat simply. Hash brown is 1,000 KRW (0.84 USD) and Americano is 1,000 KRW (0.84 USD). I don't buy clothes. The clothes I'm wearing now are 5-6 years old. I often wear the clothes my fans give me."
At least he knows himself and it seems his parents are saving some of it and giving him some to live on.
