GOT7's Youngjae recently opened up about Mnet's idol survival series 'Produce X 101'!
On May 20, Youngjae and the rest of GOT7 members attended an interview event for their impending comeback, where the topic of 'Produce X 101' came up. During the program, the trainee contestants are currently performing the songs of popular K-pop boy groups Wanna One, EXO, BTS, MONSTA X, Seventeen, and GOT7.
When the trainees using GOT7's music was brought up, Youngjae stated that he was grateful that they had chosen to use their music.
"Recently I saw that they were going to do a stage for 'Lullaby,' and I was grateful that they knew us and that were going to sing our music," he commented. "[When I was watching the show], I thought about what a shame it is that we aren't able to go back to the days we were promoting those songs, and I also thought about how hard [the trainees] worked on these performances."
Meanwhile, 'Produce X 101' teams will be covering both "Lullaby" and "Girls Girls Girls" in an upcoming episode.
Happy for them. Usually, their songs are rarely used in shows like this and never ever on the Produce series, even though other JYP group songs have been used. It would have been interesting if they used Just Right or Teenager. I just think those songs are so fun to listen to.
