On April 4th, it was revealed that Red Velvet will be collaborating with English singer Ellie Goulding on the remix version of her chart topping hit song 'Close to me'. The remix song is reported to have Korean lyrics and Red Velvet's Wendy and Yeri are credited for co-writing the Korean lyrics of this song.
It was also revealed thatEllie Goulding approached Red Velvet for the 'Close To Me' remix, she was impressed after learning about them while she was in Korea for her concert. This will be band member Yeri's third writing credit after 'Story' by Ragoon and Yeri and her first solo song 'Dear Diary'.

This might be a small achivement for some idol groups who often compose their own songs but for SM groups it's like a big thing to release songs that you wrote even if it's only partially so. I hope Yerin gets more confidence and we will see more releases by her in future.
