Back in February, LOONA made their awaited comeback with the tittle track Butterfly. The meaning behind this song expressed each girl in this world can be "the girl of the month" (LOONA's Korean name), and every person who has been inspired by LOONA's music could also be part of their movement.
In a recent interview for MTV, the girls were asked if they are aware how popular they are in the LGBTQ+ community. Yves right away stated "I think I should answer this. I heard the LGBTQ+ community was really interested in the continued worlds of "New" (her solo music video) and Chuu’s music video "Heart Attack". When the song was being written and the video filmed, we didn’t see it like that (a homosexual relationship). For us, it was a story about yearning, but we were also thankful when it was translated that way. You may have realized it during "Butterfly", but we want to go beyond gender and race".
HyunJin expressed "We’re aware there’s a lot of fans from countries we haven’t been to. When they are encouraged and get strength from our music, that’s an aspect of the 'butterfly effect".
What do you think about this? Is K-Pop evolving into a more open minded industry? Let us know ur opinion in the comment section below with a respecful mindset.

Given the recent ongoing and ever evolving scandals, it's very obvious when a country still has a total lack of regard for women and their existence. When scum only get two or three years in jail for such heinous crimes, well it speaks volumes to the world. So when women from a group such as LOONA speak up for people who are fearful just because of who they love, and acknowledge their fear, that's true courage. It's very admirable and human. Humility is not a weakness and LOONA has become a hero to a lot of people not just for speaking up, but by being humans. This small world is still bigger than us.
A barely functioning Bukowski.....dt's tomorrow ...jisoo and lisa might not get it because it involves lyrics.
