D1CE Entertainment, home to former 'MIXNINE' contestants Woo Jin Young and Kim Hyun Soo, has released an official statement on April 19 regarding the conclusion of their legal dispute with YG Entertainment.
D1CE Entertainment relayed,
"First, we would like to thank everyone for your concerns and encouragements in our legal dispute against the production company behind 'MIXNINE', YG Entertainment.
We have held numerous meetings with the staff of 'MIXNINE' to discuss the dispute. We continued to specify each of the problems which arose after 'MIXNINE's finale, and the staff of the program admitted to each of the problems and faults, apologizing repeatedly.
We have decided to accept the sincere apologies of the 'MIXNINE' staff, and have come to a settlement regarding our conflicts. As a result, taking into account that both sides ultimately wished for the healthy progress of the entertainment industry, we have officially cancelled our lawsuit.
D1CE Entertainment sincerely hopes that this entire process was a step toward helping everyone realize the importance of communication and coexistence. From here on moving forward, we promise to continue to do our best for such matters.
Once again, we deeply thank everyone for their encouragements toward Woo Jin Young and the D1CE members, currently preparing for their debut."
Previously, D1CE Entertainment (also formerly known as a sector of Happy Face Entertainment) filed a lawsuit against YG Entertainment and 'MIXNINE' after the survival program's winning team was ultimately unable to debut.
"and have come to a settlement regarding our conflicts."
Meaning YGE paid up I presume thus avoiding a messy public legal dispute which given the timing of all the recent scandals would have meant more loses on the stock market that YGE can ill afford at the moment.
