YG Entertainment will be doing something unique with Black Pink's release.
Most songs are out at 6PM KST, but Black Pink's upcoming mini-album will be released at midnight KST. It's been revealed that USA's Universal Music Group requested that the songs be released at midnight KST globally, especially so that fans in USA will be able to hear it during the daytime.
What do you think of their decision?

They shouldn't pander to the US market too much. Your bread and butter is in Asia. YGE differing to Universal Music doesn't speak strength. It seems a little counter intuitive to me? That means it'll drop on a Thursday morning in the US when lots of people are at work, school. If you drop at 6 KST, it's still early Friday morning but the song has more momentum going into the weekend??? Then again, I don't work in the music industry, lol.
