Solo female artist Suran talked about her recent healing process.
Hours before her official comeback on March 22, Suran held an album pre-listening party at the Spigen Hall in Seoul at 4 PM KST. At the event, Suran looked back on her 2018 and shared, "I would like to take a leap."
Relevant to her statement, Suran's upcoming 2nd mini album has been titled as 'Jumpin'", a meaningful word as her first comeback in 1 year and 9 months.
"I was going through some health issues in 2018. It wasn't that I had been taken ill from a certain disease but," Suran continued. "I was physically in pain because of a burnout."
Suran expressed that she focused much of the first half of last year on "healing and recuperating," and on "gaining back energy and focusing on the album." After experiencing "some painful moments" in recent years, Suran had worked on the new album with other "supportive female artists" including Yoon Mi Rae and Heize.

A legit singer/songwriter must feel smothered under SM's overbearing micromanagement. It'd be like Claude Monet working for Disney Corp. Burnout isn't surprising there but I'm glad she's feeling good again.
