Sooyoung talked about the possibility of a Girls' Generation comeback.
At an interview for the movie 'Memories of a Dead End' on March 28, Sooyoung, who plays the role of a Korean citizen who heads to Nagoya, Japan to meet her boyfriend, talked about the people she keeps around her. She expressed, "My circle of friends is small and deep. Seeing my members attend the opening for the film, I realized that I don't regret who I've become close to."
On her friendship with the members of Girls' Generation, Sooyoung stated, "We've been together for 10, 15 years. As a woman and as someone in this industry, what we felt together and our maturation as people overlap. I think it's because we felt and withstood the same things at the same time." When asked if she thinks there would ever be a Girls' Generation comeback, she responded, "There's nothing in the works, but it's not something that's impossible."
She concluded, "When I dream of my future, I'm not standing alone. It's not that I'll receive an award as an actor and wipe my tears. I think they'll always be there. I think that we'll continue to hold concerts together."
Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun attended the movie opening, and Sooyoung said on their response to her playing the lead role, "They didn't say anything about the movie. They commented, 'A movie star has been born,' and 'She's a movie star.' They gave me the realistic response of friends. I liked it, and I was thankful."
'Memories of a Dead End' premieres on April 4.
They’re doing just fine with their solo schedules. But I think SM could suggest reuniting every 2 years for a mini album, 2 weeks of promotion and a concert. That wouldn’t be taxing for them. They could do it one year for GG and the other for f(x).
