Singer Wheesung is under fire for his Instagram posts.
On February 1, Wheesung shared a post showing several junior singers preparing for his upcoming concert. In the caption, he wrote, "They'll singer better than this when I beat them with a bat."
A netizen criticized Wheesung's violent comment, and said, "How can you say hitting with a bat and what not even if it's a joke? You probably can't say this if you've been watching the news lately." Wheesung fired back, "I am watching the news."
Wheesung's reply led to more criticism. In response to the hate, Wheesung made another post, stating, "I have deleted the post~ (No more) Satire or jokes, I'll be uploading just photos and performance videos from now on. I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable often ^^"
His apology led to even more anger. Netizens claim Wheesung's apology was mockery and insincere, they continued to heavily criticize the singer for his rudeness.
Ultimately, Wheesung decided to make his Instagram account private.
