Netizens are not believing Burning Sun CEO's apology.
On Feb 3rd, Burning Sun CEO Lee Moon Ho took to Instagram to offer an apology to the public and Big Bang's Seungri. On the statement released publicly CEO Lee apologized to Seungri, his long-time friend, saying that he had received the most damages in the situation when he only worked in a "consultant" capacity for the club. The CEO had personally asked the Big Bang member to assist the club in contacting foreign DJ's and that he never participated in the management of the club. Seungri only resigned a week before the controversy for his upcoming military enlistment.
Netizens felt that the whole statement was fake and questioned his cozy relationship with Seungri saying, "Wow Lee Mun Ho-ssi, this is quite the speedy statement from you, isn't it ㅋㅋㅋ how about you shut that fake mouth of yours."
Some reminded the CEO of the Katalk conversations that had been released publicly by Dispatch and said, "I still can't forget the Katalk conversations, talking about hot girls being targeted and guards being sent out to secure them. How the VIP room is made of glass walls, how the staff shared information of certain rooms having sex, how they took hidden photos of a woman who was out of it with her skirt up. How can you say he didn't know this was going on? What a joke. He only put out a statement to defend Seungri and yet he has no explanation on all the Katalk chats right now?"
Some questioned Seungri's public statements on 'I Live Alone' when he said he personally involved himself in his businesses unlike other idols. He said, "People assume that when celebrities start businesses, that they just let the store borrow their name and face, but I'm not like that. I do everything myself. Otherwise your customers don't trust you."
According to netizens, "if the club's auditor was Seungri's mother, and there are registrations to prove this fact, there's no way Seungri wasn't made aware of the illegal activities at the club. The only reason the CEO is releasing this public statement is to protect his long-term friend and because he has been paid off."
Netizens are now calling for investigations into Burning Sun CEO, Directors, MD's, VIPs, as well as Naver, OSEN, YG and Yang Hyun Suk. They're calling for Seungri to be exiled from the industry and are planning to boycott Seungri, his ramen businesses, as well as YG and all YG related promotions.
Stay tuned for more details.
Ok people need to fuckin get over this. Just let the police and the law handle the situation accordingly without this media frenzy. These “netizens” will never be satisfied with whatever statement and apology is made. Seungri didn’t make a statement, they demand one. He does make a statement, they’re still mad at him. Burning sun doesn’t make a statement, they’re angry, when they do, netizens don’t believe them. and how many more times are your guys going to milk out posts for this situation?
