Actor Jang Hyuk has joined the cast of JTBC's upcoming historical action blockbuster drama, 'My Country'!
Previously, 'My Country' confirmed a lead cast packed with rising stars Woo Do Hwan, Yang Se Jong, and AOA's Seolhyun. Now, Jang Hyuk joins these stars as the historical figure Lee Bang Won - the 3rd King Taejong of the Joseon dynasty. In history, before Taejong ultimately rose to the throne, he was robbed of his rightful place in the palace as the crown prince.
'My Country' tells the story of Korea during its transition from the end of the Goryeo dynasty into the beginning of the Joseon dynasty; in this storyline, Lee Bang Won plays the role of an antagonist to the people of Goryeo and Joseon during a chaotic time.
What's also intriguing is that back in 2015, Jang Hyuk portrayed the role of Lee Bang Won in his film 'Age of Innocence'. Look forward to Jang Hyuk, Woo Do Hwan, Yang Se Jong, Seolhyun, and more in JTBC's 'My Country', premiering some time in the later half of this year!
