New Korean film 'Extreme Job' has exceeded 3 million viewers!
According to the Korean Film Council, the movie reached 3,001,050 viewers at 6:58 PM KST on January 27, only five days after the film was released and roughly 24 hours after hitting the 2 million mark.
The film was able to achieve the 3 million viewer mark five days faster than the previous record holder for a comedy, 'Miracle In Cell No. 7,' and even exceeded the sales speed of popular non-comedies, including the films 'Veteran,' 'The Thieves,' and 'The Attorney.'
Meanwhile, 'Extreme Job' is a crime-comedy about a team of narcotic detectives who go undercover by opening a fried chicken shop that accidentally becomes a major foodie hot spot. The film stars Ryu Seung Ryeong, Honey Lee, Jin Seon Kyu, Lee Dong Hwi, and Gong Myung.
