On a community forum, a post entitled 'The Ultimate Extreme Level: Yeri, Jennie, Wonyoung' presented a debate whether these female idols deserved the hate they are allegedly receiving. For these idols, who were topics of online controversy at some point, the writer described each process of criticism as too 'harsh' or 'without grounds.'

Defending Red Velvet's Yeri, the writer argued:

"Controversial for her stage performances and alleged feud with the other members. But this girl tried really hard to do well after receiving hate since debut, as she joined the team later. Just when controversies started to die down, people started attacking another pretty member Irene, just for the sake of not being able to attack Yeri alone."

On IZ*ONE's Jang Won Young:

"She's young, but rose to popularity fairly quickly. Pretty without a blemish, so jealous people began calling the idol and the entire group as 'extreme right-wing idol.' Criticized her looks and physique even harsher, compared to the others."

On Black Pink's Jennie:

"There's even a saying, 'only posts about Jennie attract a swarm'; that's how topical she is. Has the same pretty face and a luxurious image like Yeri and Wonyoung, so people here keep getting jealous of those features. Even when there were no controversies surrounding her, people simply stated, '[the company] only supports Jenny; she's not pretty'. Performance controversies erupted, then a rumor about her and her company's CEO spread even more. So many sexually demeaning slaughter and curses towards her."

In the comments section, there were mixed feelings toward these idols, as well as mixed feelings towards the author. 

Some comments include: "I don't know about the others but Jennie...I think she dug her own grave.", "not such a convincing writer this one", "there's also Taeyeon, IU, and Nayeon", "I do hope people here who criticize idols keep doing what they do, because the more they criticize them, the longer their social position, rank, and the likes will continue to remain the same.", "This post is a real fact -- when one person starts receiving hate for no reason, everyone just swarms", "It's true that the female celebs who get hate are all the prettiest ones tho", "But I think some of these people here actually do deserve some criticism, especially if that person harmed the other members' image in the group."
