Former U-KISS member Allen Kibum took to his Instagram to sincerely address earlier news of his marriage and firstborn son.

He wrote, 

"I should have informed those of you who have sent me so much love and who continue to cheer me on firsthand, but things were so hectic that I was not able to greet you until now, and I ask for your generous understanding.

As hard as I've worked all this time, I am thankful for a new source of energy in my life and in my work, and a family I must protect. My wife is an ordinary and hardworking, non-celebrity Japanese businesswoman.

With your generosity, I would be so grateful if you could watch over us fondly, and if you could kindly understand without being too shocked or suffering from the sudden news of my family. 

And I'm very apologetic that I was not able to deliver this news to fans in advance, the fans who are by my side sharing in my feelings and cheering me on, even when I was reckless, even when I struggled and faced challenges, and even when I was full of happiness. 

I will continue to live cherishing the precious memories that we shared, without ever forgetting your great love that you sent me where ever I am, even if I happen to walk the path of an ordinary businessman."
