When a label decides to make the legendary step of funding a girl group that isn't the typical girl group type, it'll be revolutionary.

Now this may be a hard leap of faith to make because i think labels feel like a non-cutesy-and-hella-feminine girl group won't be successful. I definitely don't MIND cutesy and girly concepts, and i don't mean they should make a tomboy group for the hell of it. I just mean i feel like with girl groups there isn't much to them than just being pretty. Most girl groups don't even have technically sophisticated dances and most main dancers and girls in girl groups can't dance (imo) beyond just wiggling. What would make me happy is seeing girl groups like 2ne1 and EXID singing about things can relate to and sending positive messages. Girl groups who may have a group concept of being cute or whatever, but have individual personalities and aren't all the same.

BTS makes songs about young adulthood and teen life besides just relationships and everyone is shook. I know i can be the only one who feels this way, so i doubt a group like this would be a failure.

Maybe there are groups out there already like this that i just don't know about, but hey. The fact that they aren't insanely popular says something. 2ne1 was, though. And f(x).

As I've said before, its probably scary to label CEOs throw a lot of money behind what they aren't sure will sell. Cute and pretty sells in korea, so that's that.

TL;DR: seeing some new girl groups taking inspiration from f(x), 2ne1 and BTS would be sick. So would girl groups with some wicked dance skills and positive, thought provoking lyrics

    The Ark says "HI, BITCH".

People let flop girls groups with different style, sound and concept. Don't ask for something that has been done and flopped so hard, that's why people stick with the formula.

For BTS people were familiar with what they were doing as B.A.P did similar things in the past and Big Bang, etc, etc, etc.

    Revolutionary? Nope.

Agencies of any kind and size tried any conceivable concept. Sometimes even inconceivable ones. You name it, somebody did it already.

It's not about the concept, the music, the members or their talent. Success is a combination of money, connections, marketing, hype and a crucial dose of luck. When everything aligns, you can make the audience gulp down any kind of trash, and they will thank you. A lot of successful groups don't deserve their fame, including some of those you cited.
