On December 20, MMO Entertainment updated fans regarding their legal action against malicious commenters and spreaders of slander against their artists - Wanna One's Kang Daniel and Yoon Ji Sung.
MMO Entertainment stated, "Back in June, we issued a strict warning against the spread of malicious content meant to slander our artists, content which hurt not only our artists but also their fans. As of now, we have submitted lawsuits against spreaders of malicious content for criminal acts of defamation, as a follow-up to our warning earlier."
Furthermore, "We are currently inspecting the possibility of filing additional charges for the spread of content including sexual harassment against our artists. We will not stop at simple criminal lawsuits for the purpose of scaring certain individuals, but we will put to use all legal methods to combat any malicious intent toward our artists; we are currently cooperating to our fullest in the criminal investigation process. We also plan on filing additional civil lawsuits against the assailants for damages and compensations," the label stressed.
Finally, MMO Entertainment relayed, "The most effective method of shutting down malicious online activity is to combat the spread of such content with strict legal action."
Good job MMO
