YG Entertainment's boy group survival competition 'YG Treasure Box' is proving to be an international hit!
According to Korean news outlet Newsen, episode 7 of the program, which aired on both YouTube and VLIVE on December 28, saw a combined total of 63 million views by 9 AM KST on December 30. The program showcases both the dreams and incredible talent of YG trainees as they compete to secure a spot in the agency's upcoming boy group project, 'Treasure 6'.
Episode 7 also appeared on trending charts for both VLIVE and YouTube trending charts, both in Korea and overseas in Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Spain, Brazil, Thailand, and Japan.
The number of account holders who watched the episode live - roughly 320,000 - has more than doubled from those who caught the live broadcast of the show's first episode. The number of subscribers to 'YG Treasure Box's accounts on YouTube, VLIVE, and Naver TV also surpassed 570,000 in total, four times the size of where it was at the first episode.
Meanwhile, the next episode of the program is set to air on January 4.
