The Shiny Foundation, which was founded by late SHINee member Jonghyun's family, and the Federation of Korean Music Performers (FKMP) will be funding the medical costs of SSAW's Jeong Tae Gwan.
With the help of the Shiny Foundation, the FKMP launched an emergency fund for members like Jeong Tae Gwan, who's currently fighting cancer. His wife recently passed, and the Shiny Foundation and FKMP will be helping to cover his medical expenses. The SSAW member underwent surgery for renal cancer in 2012, but the cancer eventually spread to his shoulder bone and other parts of his body.
Jeong Tae Gwan has been on hiatus from music since 2014, and SSAW is currently promote a 30th anniversary tribute album to help out with his medical costs as well.
The FKMP stated, "Everyone has good and bad days, and a true friend is someone who'll help you with those bad days. We'll continue to strive to be a true friend to our members, and we hope that Jeon Tae Gwan has a full recovery."
