Reporter Kjersti Flaa revealed she has received racist and threatening messages following the 'Fantastic Beasts 2' interview controversy.
On November 9, the reporter shared screenshots of the direct messages she received on Instagram after her interview of Soo Hyun (Claudia Kim) became controversial.
The reporter called out the people who DM'ed her for being racist themselves by titling her "white woman." She asked the trolls to stop and also encouraged love, not hate.
She stated, "These are some messages that I have been getting from angry people because I complimented someone from Korea about speaking well English as a kid. To me you all just show that you stand for none of the things you yourself are suppose to be defending. Respecting everyone no matter race and beliefs. Attacking me with hatred and especially pointing out that I am a white woman, isn't that doing the opposite of how you want the world to be? And how it should be. Everyone treating each other with respect? Isn't that why you attacked me in the first place? So try to change that anger into love and see how much better you will feel about yourselves. So now, stop trolling me and get back to your lives and help making this world a better place for all of us."
Just recently, the reporter received heavy criticism for being racist and asking Soo Hyun about her English. In response, she issued an apology, stating, "I have been totally heartbroken by everything that has happened. All I wanted to do was make a great interview with her and Ezra and I am sorry to everyone that was disappointed."
The threats are laughable, clearly written by dumb kids. If only there was a way to penalize the parents for raising such stupid children.
