JTBC released an audio of Media Line Entertainment CEO Kim Chang Hwan.
On October 19, The East Light leader Lee Suk Chul held a press conference and revealed the members of The East Light have been violently abused by their agency CEO and producer.
Following the press conference, Lee Suk Chul met with JTBC's 'News Room' and shared, "It's not because we made a major mistake... When I miss a note or fail to keep up, he would wrap the guitar string around my neck and make it hard for me to breathe..."
Lee Suk Chul also claimed they have been threatened. JTBC shared an audio recording of Kim Chang Hwan they have obtained. The CEO is heard stating, "Once you put things into my hands, you just have to leave it even if I beat you to death... Imagine making it to the news (with abuse) as a celebrity. You guys wouldn't have anywhere to stand. And who would want to take the kids with issues? You shouldn't blow things up. You shouldn't. Your mom and dad will be in more pain. It'll be 10 times more painful."
Media Line Entertainment admits Kim Chang Hwan did get aggressive when talking with The East Light members from time to time, however, "It was to help them continue doing music."
Meanwhile, Kim Chang Hwan released a statement following Lee Suk Chul's press conference, and claimed, "I have never been part of any abuse or assault in the last 30 years. I've also never encouraged or provided orders to abuse anyone."
Even with the threatening and manipulating, I'm so glad The East Light leader had enough strength to come out with this AND WITH SOLID PROOF TOO. I hope that pathetic loser of a ceo gets a beating in jail.
