Goeun clarified misunderstandings on Laysha's hidden camera controversy.
On August 30, Goeun shared a lengthy post on Instagram about the hidden camera controversy. She strongly refuted the accusations on Laysha using the issue for marketing and emphasized their agency, JS Entertainment, is also innocent.
Goeun first shared that the issue has been blown up and making headlines on various media outlets, and as a result, she's been receiving a flood of direct messages from netizens. She stated, "I'm very hurt that so many people are asking if this is noise marketing."
She added, "Based on the camera angle and its location, many became suspicious of our agency JS ENT. I shared my post after double checking, and currently, our company system is in chaos as the CEO and all employees and staff are having a very hard time dealing with questions on the issue. But JS ENT has no relation to the controversy at all so I ask you to refrain from making accusations and criticism."
Goeun explained that it has been confirmed the footages, which have been filmed for a web variety show, have been shared without proper consent and explanation. She said, "We were not informed that it would be a 19+ filming with the main focus on our body parts and we did not know the program had such intentions. We filmed thinking the concept was to show Laysha's daily life to the fans."
Lastly, Goeun shared they will be taking legal action. She ended the post, stating, "I'm thankful and grateful for those who've shown concern and attention. I promise to show better and confident Laysha from now on. Thank you to each and every one of those who read this lengthy post."
