Lee Kuk Ju expressed frustration about the prejudice against overweight women.
On the July 6 episode of TV Chosun's 'There's A Reason Why Women Get Mad', the panelists held a discussion about diets.
During the talk, Lee Kuk Ju said, "Words become painful. People tell comedian Kim Ji Min that she's an actress type but to me, they say 'Kuk Ju is healthy'. It's not that I get upset but I wonder if they're indirectly pressuring me to lose weight."

She also shared, "When I date a handsome guy, people ask, 'You spend a lot of money, don't you?' Why do we (overweight women) have to hear these comments when people never say anything to a pretty girl dating a normal guy?"
