Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon opened up about her difficult times.

On the June 29 airing of JTBC4's 'Secret Unnie', the unnies Han Chae Young, Sunmi, and Hyoyeon took the time to have a sincere talk with their dongsaengs Red Velvet's Yeri, Seulgi, and MAMAMOO's Whee In.

While on the talk about going through slumps, Hyoyeon shared, "I went through a severe slump the year before last year. I realized that I haven't accomplished anything besides being in Girls' Generation. So I tried to learn many things." She named producing, composing, DJ-ing, and more as examples of the activities she learned.
The oldest unnie Han Chae Young commented, "We have to endure slumps in this career," and added, "Slumps give you an opportunity to mature."
