Thunder shared thoughts on making his long-awaited solo comeback.
On May 1, Thunder released a new single album including the title track "Smile" featuring�Jang Soo Bin, and "Nothing".
Through his agency,�Mystic Entertainment, Thunder revealed, "I've taken on a new challenge for the song 'Smile'. I'm nervous as much as I was back in 2012 when I released my first solo song 'Don't Go'. I hope many of you enjoy it."

He also shared, "I've been spending my time working on various songs. I wanted to show an improvement so I dedicated a lot of�time on music."�
Thunder introduced his new title song, saying, "It'a pop-soul track with rhythmical melody and hopeful lyrics." He added, "I got the motive for this song from Jackson Five's�'I Want You Back', so it has sources that are hard to find in today's music."
As for the track "Nothing", Thunder said, "It's a pop, R&B song with vintage, synth sound. The sentimental melody and sincere lyrics are the key points."
Lastly, Thunder said, "I'm always sorry to my fans because they seem to wait a long time. I am working hard to always show improvement so please continue the support and look forward (to my music)."
