On May 8, media outlets reported that veteran actor Kim Heung Kook (59) has been cleared of all suspicion regarding his sexual assault case.
Back in March, a woman in her 30s 'A' filed charges of sexual assault against Kim Heung Kook. After 2 months, as of May 8, Seoul's Gwangjin Police Department has declared that there is not enough evidence to prove Kim Heung Kook guilty of sexual assault. The police will be forwarding the case to court as a non-prosecution case.
Both Kim Heung Kook and 'A' were called in for investigation two times each, both at different times, submitting various pieces of evidence. Meanwhile, Kim Heung Kook has also submitted a counter lawsuit against 'A' for charges of false accusations. The police will continue to investigate Kim Heung Kook's counter lawsuit.
