KBS drama 'Good Doctor' will also be re-made in Japan

KBS's popular medical drama 'Good Doctor' will also be re-made in Japan, after the successful remake of the series in the U.S. with ABC. 

The Japanese remake of 'Good Doctor' is led by male lead Yamazaki Kento, who will be taking on his first ever doctor role. The Japanese remake will not deviate from the original story, said reports. KBS's 'Good Doctor' starring Joo Won, Moon Chae Won, and more aired from August - October of 2013 in Korea. 

Japan's 'Good Doctor' is set to premiere on July 12.
