Jay Park recently sat down with 'HIPHOPLE', a Korean online music magazine to talk about his new upcoming album, signing with Roc Nation, and meeting Jay-Z and Beyonce for the first time.
He started off by explaining how during the AOMG tour back in 2016, a personnel member from TIDAL, a subscription-based music streaming site/service, attended the show in New York. After several meetings, TIDAL introduced Jay Park to Roc Nation which at first wanted to only take charge of the distribution aspect but later changed their mind to recruit the artist.
Next, he shared his 'Roc Nation Brunch' he experienced earlier this year where he got meet talented artists such as Big Sean, Diddy, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and more. "He greeted me and said, 'thank you for trusting in us'," Jay Park recalled of his conversation with Jay-Z. He then followed up by sharing his encounter with Beyonce as well.
Lastly, he hinted on his new upcoming English album which the tracks were produced "in-house", meaning his family-like producers (AOMG & H1GHR Music)such as GRAY, Woogie, Groovy Room, Cha Cha Malone, and Thurxday.
