Cho Yong Pil did not hesitate to praise his hoobaes in the K-Pop industry. He shared, "If they're famous, there's something that makes them so. There are definitely reasons why people obsess and like them. There is absolutely a reason why idol dance groups are popular. If you listen to their music, I think, 'Yes, I can understand.' I listen to music by Big Bang, EXO, and BTS. I've watched their performances on YouTube."
Cho Yong Pil continued, "Famous, popular people have very distinct charms, whether it's they sing well, they're handsome, etc. For me, it was possible to gain fame because I was born earlier and made music earlier. If I'd been born in this day and age, I would never have made it visuals-wise. My face isn't good looking, and I'm short."
The singer also expanded on how he keeps current in the music industry. He stated, "To maintain my musical sense, I listen to music on YouTube every day. With just one click, it gives you all kinds of related music and performances."
The singer wrapped up by saying that he wishes to make music until he's 80 years old, although he doesn't know if he'll be able to. Cho Yong Pil will be turning 70 soon. He plans on releasing his 20th full album some time next year, after ending his 50th anniversary tour.
