As many fans are aware by now, several South Korean artists traveled to North Korea to visit and perform at the East Pyongyang Grand Theater and Pyongyang Arena from March 31 to April 3. The lineup included many talented artists such as Seohyun, Baek Ji Young, ALi, Cho Yong Pil, Lee Sun Hee, Yoon Do Hyun, Jung In, Yoon Sang, and of course Red Velvet.
According to Yonhap News, Kim Jong Un and his wife attended the art troupe on Sunday, making him the first North Korean leader to attend a South Korean performance. Originally, Kim Jong Un was not supposed to make an appearance until Tuesday, a joint performance between two countries. He, however, felt that attending performances held by just the South Korean artists would be meaningful and decided to make changes to his schedule.
Additionally, the North Korean leader was also quoted saying, "(People were) interested in whether I would attend to see (South Korean girl group) Red Velvet. I originally intended to visit the day after tomorrow, but I adjusted my schedule to come today," relayed by Yonhap News.
