One CP working on the new JTBC program opened up about the upcoming show titled 'Idol Room'. The CP said, "It can seem a bit similar to 'Weekly Idol', but we are leaning more toward newer and bigger."
The CP confirmed that not only will Jung Hyung Don and Defconn be a part of the new series, but also Kim Jin PD, who previously worked with the two MCs on 'Weekly Idol' for over 7 years, will be on the show as well.
Kim PD reportedly stated, "JTBC does not have a music program, so there was a need for it. I heard that Jung Hyung Don and Defconn would be leaving 'Weekly Idol' and asked them to come on board."
'Idol Room' is in part a play on JTBC's headline news program, 'News Room'. "Just as 'News Room' deals with news with an empathetic, relatable approach, 'Idol Room' will also treat idols in the same manner," finished the CP.
'Idol Room' will carry out its first recording in mid-April, before premiering some time in May.
