A representative from Mnet told news outlets, "The contract period for the 'Produce 48' girl group will be 2 years and 6 months. Because the group is the first Korean-Japanese girl group selected by the nation's producers, it was discussed and approved by all participating labels that they will be supporting the contract period so that the group can carry out substantial global activities after their debut in both Korea and Japan. Once they return to their labels, they will have secured the image of a global artist."
