Recently, YMC Entertainment announced that Wanna One is going on a 13-city world tour with shows in South Korea, United States, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Thailand, Phillippines, and Australia this summer.
As you can see, Japan has been left out of the tour. With Wanna One releasing their 2nd mini-album in Japan on April 12, many questioned why the boy group is skipping out on a country where they've had active promotions in.

To Sports Kyunghyang, an insider associated with the Japan concerts revealed, "Originally, Wanna One was in talks of holding a show on June 6 and the topic was discussed among the Japan concert associates. However, they were concerned that performing (in Japan) on Korea's Memorial Day (June 6) might upset the public, similar to (the issues involving) concerts in Japan on the National Liberation Day of Korea (August 15), so Japan has been removed from the tour."
A rep of CJ E&M also commented, "I believe Japan has been removed due to schedule and other issues" and said, "Chances of Japan being added to the tour are very slim," as the tour schedule has been finalized in January.
