Seyong recently participated in the KBS idol rebooting program. He made to the final round but failed to make it into the top 9.
He commented, "Preparing for 'The Unit' was like preparing for a new album. It was fun practicing with friends that are not my members and it was also fun fitting things together. I learned a lot from the hyungs and I realized a lot from dongsaengs. I learned a lot about how rookies do it nowadays."
Out of all, Seyong shared that he was able to create great friendship through 'The Unit'.

Back in 2011, Seyong debuted as a member of MYNAME. The boy group focused more on their promotions in Japan. When asked about his Japanese promotions, Seyong said, "It's been about 6 years (since we started promotions in Japan). In my case, I had solo promotions too so I wasn't in Korea in 2015-2016. I can communicate in Japanese but I still need to study more."
He continued, 'When I first went to Japan, there were no Korean staff members. I really had to learn Japanese to live. It naturally became that way. Later on, I found out that the helper knew how to speak Korean. S/he told me s/he hid that fact from me to help me learn Japanese faster."
Seyong expressed his wish to promote more in Korea. He said, "We (MYNAME members) really want to release an album in Korea. I hope album release leads to a concert. Of course, it won't be easy but we're in the discussion. We also plan to work our best in international promotions."
