Singer/actor Lee Seung Gi held a cafe interview on March 8 in light of his film 'The Princess and the Matchmaker', currently showing in theaters.
When the topic of Lee Seung Gi flashing his upper body on variety show 'The Butlers' came up, Lee Seung Gi said, "I just [took my shirt off] because it was such a natural environment... During my time in the army we worked out without shirts on every single morning for 2 years. It's that natural atmosphere that came with me. But in Yang Se Hyung's eyes, it must have seemed like I was showing off my muscles. But I'm still doing it, regardless of what he thinks."
How does his bodily confidence compare to his revealing scene in his film 'The Princess and the Matchmaker'? Lee Seung Gi replied, "During then, it was my off-season in terms of physical shape. Plus it was filmed before I enlisted, so I was eating a lot and my cheeks were chubby. Right now, I can do even without severe lighting effects... but if I say something like that Yang Se Hyung will probably be pissed."
The singer/actor then answered about returning to his singing career. "I really want to sing,", he began. "I stood as MC for a year-end music award program, and when I saw the singers singing on stage, I really wanted to sing rather than MC. I would love to prepare a release this year. But I don't know about working out all the kinks. I'm checking my schedule right now."
