Recently, multiple popular K-Pop YouTube channels have been forced to shut down. According to the YouTube channels, the reason is due to the copyright strikes by CJ E&M.
CJ E&M is a major media and content company of South Korea in charge of numerous K-Pop events and shows such as 'KCON' and 'M Countdown'.
The media company has started to monitor and put copyright strikes on any YouTube channels that have used their content. This means any YouTube videos including a footage trademarked by CJ E&M are in danger of deletion. As an example, some K-pop YouTube channels who did reaction videos to an 'M Countdown' performance received a copyright strike on said videos and are facing possible channel deletion.

K-Pop YouTubers such as Form of Therapy and DKDKTV are expressing frustration. While others have already had their channel deleted, some are clearing out their video library themselves to prevent their channel from getting removed.
Viewers are also upset at the unfortunate situation, commenting, "It's a shitty situation", "It's so sad because people work so hard on their videos..."
