On February 21, a netizen revealed via social media that a rapper with the initials 'DM' forced sexual activity to a female high school student. Rumors pointed Don Malik as the harasser.
A day later on February 22, Don Malik admitted he is the rapper that has engaged in sexual activities with the high school student. Via Instagram, he stated,
"Hello, this is Don Malik.
I had a relationship with a fan in December of last year. I admit I've used my authority in the fan-artist relationship for sexual harassment. I sincerely apologize to the victim.
I will reflect and become a better person and live cautiously without creating small or big incidents.
I am sorry."

On the same day, Jerry K, the CEO of Don Malik's agency, announced that the rapper has been expelled from the label. Jerry K stated, "I came across tweets reporting Don Malik's sexual harassment. I made the decision after going over the situation. Don Malik will be removed from Daze Alive."
The CEO also apologized, stating, "Even though the agency cannot be aware of every little detail of a member's personal life, I hold responsibility for firmly believing in his mindset and not being able to take care of the artist while in an intimate position. I deeply apologize to the victim."
