Lee Joon's agency has released another official statement on the false 'green camp' rumors as well as plans for legal action.
On February 12, media outlets reported the actor had self-injured during his enlistment and was taken to the military's 'green camp,' a program dedicated to soldiers going through mental health issues. His agency Prain TPC denied the rumors and has followed up with another statement.
On February 14, Prain TPC stated, "Lee Joon did not slit his own wrists, and it's not true that he's entered the green camp. Due to these false reports, we want to share Lee Joon's situation. It wasn't revealed before, but throughout his acting career, Lee Joon suffered from anxiety and panic disorder issues. He was going through difficulties around the time he enlisted, but he decided to overcome it and voluntarily enlisted. With that will, he worked hard to overcome his issues with a positive mindset, and he even received a certificate of excellence for completing basic military training at first place. Despite his positive attitude, his symptoms worsened recently, and with the support of his army base, he's undergoing treatment as well as carrying out his military duties."
The label continued that though it's not appropriate to share details of Lee Joon's mental health, it was more important to clear up the ugly rumors of his condition. He's said to have been hurt by the rumors, and his doctor stated it could affect his well-being further. Prain TPC concluded, "If necessary, we plan to take appropriate legal action against the false reports and additional reports as well as comments in the future as they can hurt Lee Joon's military life and recovery."
