As much as '1987' was a politically charged film, many people around him had been worried. Naturally, getting involved in such a work would sometimes makes things too complicated. However, Kang Dong Won shared that his biggest goal was to be an actor that "gives laughter and consolation to the audiences," no matter how big the political risks are.
