DSP Media's founding CEO Lee Ho Yeon, who gave birth to Sechskies, KARA, Fin.K.L, & more, passes away

DSP Media's founding CEO has passed away on February 14 at the age of 64.

Lee Ho Yeon is known as one of the industry's 1st-generation entertainment management CEOs. He not only founded legendary Korean male trio SoBangCha and 5-member group ZAM, but also gave birth to Sechskies, Fin.K.L, Click B, SS501, KARA, and more. He is responsible for the growth of DSP Media into the power label it is today. 


Back in 2010, Lee Ho Yeon was hospitalized for cerebral hemorrhage, then spent the past 8 years frequenting the hospital. A rep from DSP Media stated, "Last night (February 13) his conditioned worsened so he was transported to the emergency room right away, but passed away shortly after in the early morning of February 14."
