Despite previous reports that Park Ji Sung's mother Jang Myung Ja passed away from a car accident on January 12, more detailed reports have revealed that Jang Myung Ja was involved in a car accident some time in late December of last year. She had been at a hospital in Great Britain, receiving critical treatment for her accident, but ultimately passed away in the early morning of January 12.
Park Ji Sung's grandmother Kim Mae Shim has also passed away on the afternoon of January 12, at a nursing hospital in Gyeonggi-do. She was 82 years old at the time of her death.
The EPL's Manchester United took to the team's promotion SNS platform for their Korean fans to send their condolences, writing, "Every member of the Manchester United team would like to extend a hand of comfort for Park Ji Sung. Please rest in peace."
We also hope that the mother and grandmother rest in peace.
