On the evening of December 11, writer Choi Ran wrote a lengthy post titled 'Letting Go of Black'. She said, "'Black' is one of my most cherished works in which I've worked on for a long time."
The scriptwriter continued, "While watching the final episode, many thoughts came to mind. I had a lot of mixed emotions which was very unfortunate."
"I was upset by the fact that the things I wanted to tell in my story weren't clearly expressed in the broadcast. Although I tried my best, I feel like it was a lack of communication."
She also commented, "There have been rumors going around saying that I (or the writing team) revealed the script for the final episode and even bought the actual script from a ghostwriter, which truly broke my heart," and explained that such remarks were false.
Meanwhile, 'Black' is a mystery/fantasy genre illustrating the story of a grim reaper (Song Seung Hun) who has the power to take away lives, while one woman (Go Ara) has the ability to foresee death.
Following the last episode, the drama received mixed reviews, stirring up much attention.
